Meetpal Kukal’s research includes assessing and improving resource use efficiencies in agricultural landscapes, with a primary focus on water. His interests span across measuring and modeling agro-hydrologic and surface energy balance components, such as evapotranspiration in stressed and non-stressed environments, sensing soil and crop response to abiotic stress, and agroecosystem response to weather variability. He employs these data and knowledge to work with stakeholders to improve profitability and sustainability of their operations.
