Stephanie Buechler

Stephanie Buechler joined Penn State in July 2021 as an Associate Research Professor in Ag Sciences Global, working with GEARE (Gender Equity in Agricultural Research and Education) and with Extension, including the Globalizing Extension, Innovation Network (GEIN) initiative.  Previously, she was an Associate Research Professor in Geography and the Udall Center for Studies in Public Policy at the University of Arizona and prior to that, Research Scientist with the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) in Mexico and India and project manager with Caritas in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. She has lived, worked and conducted applied research in Latin America, South Asia and the SW and NE U.S.  Her work explores the intersections of gender, environmental change and agriculture (including urban agriculture) and gender, renewable energy and agriculture.
