Research Summary

Research investigates both mechanistic details of animal physiology, along with ecological and historical reasons why particular physiological mechanisms have evolved. Current research is examining the functional genomics of dispersal and female fecundity in a butterfly that is a model system for metapopulation biology, examining physiological conditions that disrupt normal troponin-t splicing, and exploring the relationships between size/allometry and animal performance/energetics.
