Anthony Foyle's research interests focus on coastal hazards with an emphasis on land loss on and sediment export from cohesive coasts; coastal erosion processes; hydrodynamic, surface, and subsurface processes as drivers of bluff retreat; the importance of groundwater flux through coastal systems as a contributor to stream and littoral-zone nutrient loading; coastal stratigraphy and geological oceanography in general.
