Meet Jason Rasgon, an IEE co-fund and a College of Agricultural Sciences faculty member. One thing he wants you to know about his research is there a lot of positives when it comes to GMOs.
Rasgon studies insects, like mosquitoes, and how they transmit diseases. He also researches how to alter insects’ genes in order to change the way they spread disease.

Why do you do what you do?
Infectious diseases are a huge problem for humanity, and I like to work on systems that can potentially help reduce the burden of these pathogens. I also like tinkering with organisms to see how they tick.
