Dr. Laura Zinke from Nature Reviews Earth and Environment and Dr. Kyle Frischkorn from Nature Geosciences will give a talk on “Publishing in Nature Journals”, on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 9-10 am, followed by a Q and A session about an editing career for students and postdoc at the same zoom link from 10 – 11 am. 
 
Biography: 
Dr. Laura Zinke completed her PhD at the University of Southern California, and her postdoctoral research at the University of California, Davis. Her research focused on the biogeochemistry of soils and marine sediments, employing geochemical and genomic techniques. As an editor at Nature Reviews Earth & Environment, Laura is responsible for Reviews that fall into the Surface Processes category of the journal.
 
Dr. Kyle Frischkorn completed his PhD at Columbia University and conducted post doctoral research at the École Normale Supérieure in Paris, France. With a background in microbiology, his research focused on phytoplankton and their role in biogeochemical cycles. At Nature Geosciences, Kyle handles manuscripts on biogeoscience, including research focused on aquatic and terrestrial systems, carbon and other element cycles, and pollution.
