In 2016 and 2019, the Pennsylvania in the Balance Conference generated new ideas for Pennsylvania agriculture as a solution for clean water. These ideas have spurred actions that continue to build partnerships and develop projects that bring Pennsylvania closer to meeting water quality goals. Much has been accomplished.
However, given the ongoing challenges and looming deadlines, combined with the many recent funding opportunities made available in Pennsylvania, now is the time to work together to identify the best opportunities for the use of these resources. The need is urgent, as there is much at stake for Pennsylvania.
Towards this end, the College of Agricultural Sciences is hosting another Pennsylvania in the Balance Conference on December 12-14, 2022 in Lancaster, PA.
This conference will provide a collaborative forum where motivated leaders throughout Pennsylvania’s agricultural and environmental community can come together and collectively identify funding and collaborative strategies that can help us ensure vibrant, productive agriculture while meeting water quality goals for the Commonwealth’s rivers and streams and the Chesapeake Bay.
