Graduate Students' Distinguished Lecture: "Contemporary Perspectives on How Cities Modify Weather and Climate"

Dr. Marshall Shepherd, University of Georgia, Department of Geography, will synthesize his various scholarly studies on urbanization, weather, and climate. As the recipient of the AMS Helmut Landsberg Award, he brings a body of expertise to bear on the scholarly work and relevant societal implications. He will use current research and societal challenges as the focus of his study.
