Gain insights into agrivoltaics, understanding its definition, implementation techniques, and the challenges and prospects associated with integrating solar panels into farmland and agricultural operations.

Agrivoltaics and Large-Scale Solar will discuss agrivoltaics as it relates to large-scale solar developments. Agrivoltaics is a term used to describe co-locating solar panels with farmland and agricultural production. Agrivoltiaics as a practice is in early development in the United States. Two common methods utilized are pollinators and grazing. The opportunities and challenges of growing pollinators and the grazing of sheep will be discussed during this session.

Join our one-hour webinar to acquire a comprehensive understanding of agrivoltaics and the seamless integration of solar panels into agricultural and farmland operations.

The College of Agricultural Sciences and Extension are also working to understand the barriers and opportunities related to co-locating solar panels with farmland and agricultural production.

Researchers will discuss their efforts and provide an opportunity for stakeholders to participate in their research project through an anonymous survey.
