Intersection of Health and the Environment

The Penn State College of Medicine Department of Medicine, Penn State College of Engineering Department of Chemical Engineering, Penn State Center for Research on Tobacco and Health, and Penn State Cancer Institute and Monash University are pleased to invite you to an August 20, 2020 virtual symposium entitled “Intersection of Health and the Environment.” This third annual symposium will feature Penn State’s new collaboration with scientists from Monash University, an engineering-pulmonary-pathology collaboration for developing disease-specific, patient-specific models of inhaled toxicant susceptibility.  Penn State tobacco regulatory scientists and cancer biologists will again join, providing translational science applications for this work.  Also featured will be preclinical disease models of acute and chronic lung disease, with projects that connect preclinical to studies of healthy adults and those with established lung disease.
