Stephanie Butler Velegol's research focuses on the development and application of sustainable technologies for water treatment. This includes the study of biomaterials, such as protein-based coagulants and biodegradable materials, to remove contaminants from water. Velegol is particularly interested in low-cost, environmentally friendly solutions that can be implemented in both developed and developing regions. Her work often involves interdisciplinary collaboration, combining principles from engineering, chemistry, and microbiology to address complex environmental challenges.
