Parisa Shokouhi is a professor of engineering science and mechanics whose research focuses on stress wave propagation, nondestructive evaluation, structural health monitoring, nonlinear acoustics, and machine learning approaches for interpreting complex testing data. Her work includes ultrasonic testing, acoustic emission, ground-penetrating radar, numerical modeling, and data fusion methods for assessing infrastructure and engineered materials. She also studies elastic and seismic metamaterials, with broader interests in dynamic systems, acoustics, vibrations, geotechnical engineering, and materials engineering.
