The Yost Research Group performs geotechnical engineering research that supports building infrastructure and communities resilient to increasingly frequent and severe natural hazards. Current research interests include soil liquefaction in complex soil profiles, statistical analyses of large in-situ soil characteristic databases, and functional recovery capabilities of infrastructure and communities at risk for earthquakes and other hazards.
