Assistant Research Professor of Rail Transportation Engineering
Jubair Ahmad Musazay is an assistant research professor of rail transportation engineering at Penn State Altoona and a doctorate candidate at Penn State. His research is focused on sustainable and environmentally friendly construction materials as well as railroad bridges' structural health monitoring systems. He is currently working on incorporating recycled plastics into asphalt pavements and the development of Engineered Polymer Composite (EPC) railroad crossties. His research further addresses some of the current challenges of the EPC crossties such as durability and fatigue performance and compatibility with traditional fastening systems.
