Please join the Department of Entomology as they host Emilie Snell-Rood from the University of Minnesota as she presents on their research titled "Variation in pollutant exposure and tolerance across butterflies and bees: implications for conservation in pockets of urban habitat."

Emilie Snell-Rood studies how organisms respond to human environments. Her current work focuses on pollinators in pockets of habitat such as roadsides and urban parks and yards and how different species vary in their exposure to and tolerance of pollutants in these spaces. Emilie is part of the MSP Urban Long-term Ecological Research Program at the University of Minnesota, where she teaches courses in Bio-inspired Design and Evolutionary Perspectives on Mental Health.
