The Analyses of Step Rate Tests for Estimating Maximum Injection Pressure live webinar will describe testing procedures that cause anomalous pressure responses that lead to inconclusive or incorrect maximum injection pressure estimations.
Step rate tests (SRT) are an accepted method of estimating maximum injection pressure by intentionally initiating a small fracture. Scott Frailey, Senior Reservoir Engineer at Illinois State Geological Survey, will discuss the basic principle to ascertain two linear pressure-rate relationships reflective of the geologic formation only: Pre-fracture and Post-fracture.
