Join the Pennsylvania Office of Rural Health, along with state partners, for the 2025 Pennsylvania Rural Community and Public Health Conference. This year’s conference, "Pennsylvania Public Health Matters! People, Strategies, and Policies to Advance Healthy Communities," will take place April 15 at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center in State College.
The one-day conference is being offered by the Pennsylvania Office of Rural Health, the Pennsylvania Rural Health Association, the Pennsylvania Public Health Association, the Pennsylvania Office of Rural Health, the Penn State College of Medicine’s Public Health Program, the Society for Public Health Education – Pennsylvania Chapter and the Northeast Pennsylvania Area Health Education Center.
The conference, which will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center in State College, Pennsylvania, will highlight community and public health issues and initiatives for diverse and underserved populations.
Attendees will learn from educators, researchers, community-based leaders and others, as they discuss current and emerging topics that impact public and rural health in Pennsylvania.
Topics discussed will include innovative community and public health strategies, best practices in improving the health of special and underserved populations, focusing on migrant and immigrant farmworkers, use of data-driven and evidence-based practices in public and community health, the intersection of public health and nutrition, and more.
