Penn State Extension, the Master Well Owner Network, and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection along with numerous other sponsors and partners are pleased to announce the 2025 Pennsylvania Groundwater Symposium will take place Wednesday, May 7 in Harrisburg. The PA Groundwater Symposium is a forum where researchers, students, professionals and educators working in the groundwater field exchange information and promote protection of groundwater resources throughout the state.
The day-long symposium will take place at the Best Western Premier Hotel and Conference Center located in suburban Harrisburg. Plenary and concurrent session speakers will address numerous important groundwater issues in Pennsylvania. Registrants can receive continuing education credits for attending all sessions.

CALL FOR PRESENTERS
Presentation abstracts are now being accepted for the 2025 Pennsylvania Groundwater Symposium. Researchers, consultants, educators, students, and others involved in groundwater related work are encouraged to apply to present at this annual forum focused on the wise use and protection of groundwater resources in Pennsylvania. Please consider submitting your groundwater related work.
Abstracts are welcome on variety of groundwater topics including but not limited to: groundwater monitoring, climate impacts on groundwater, data availability and access, groundwater processes, karst groundwater systems, wellhead protection, water well studies, emerging contaminants, aquifer studies, groundwater/surface water interactions, issues related to energy extraction, well decommissioning, groundwater education and outreach, and water policy.

- All abstracts must be limited to 200 words excluding Title, Authors, Affiliations
- Underline the presenting author’s name
- Use 12 point Times New Roman font with 1 inch margins and 1.5 line spacing
- Abstracts should be written in English
- References, credits, tables, and figures should not be included in the abstract
- Please proof your submission carefully because abstracts will be made available to all registered attendees and published on the event website
- Presenting author(s) must pay the registration fee and attend the symposium
- The deadline for abstracts is midnight February 28, 2025
- The conference planning committee will review all abstracts and notify authors of acceptance via email by March 14, 2025
