Xiaoyu Ma
Xiaoyu Ma’s research focuses on AI-enabled transportation systems, sustainable mobility, and resilient infrastructure. Ma develops network modeling, simulation, optimization, machine learning, and digital twin methods to support data-driven planning and operations for multimodal transportation systems. This work aims to improve the safety, efficiency, resilience, sustainability, and equity of the built environment, with particular attention to emerging mobility technologies, transportation electrification, and infrastructure systems operating under real-world and environmental constraints. Xiaoyu Ma’s research has examined mixed-traffic systems with varying levels of electric vehicle adoption, dynamic pricing and user equilibrium, multimodal system operations, deployment-oriented decision support, infrastructure disruptions, cascading network impacts, and extreme urban flood-level prediction.
