Henry Kibuye

Henry Kibuye is a doctoral student in biorenewable systems in Penn State’s Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering. Kibuye’s research focuses on agricultural water quality, pesticide transport, and the effectiveness of riparian buffers in reducing pollutants entering streams. Current work examines how pesticides move through surface runoff and groundwater in agricultural watersheds, particularly in karst landscapes, and how those pathways affect the performance of conservation practices.

Kibuye’s broader research includes the role of riparian forest buffers in protecting stream water quality, including their effects on stream temperature and dissolved oxygen.
