
Costas D. Maranas is the Donald B. Broughton Professor of Chemical Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University. He earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Aristotle University in 1990 and his Ph.D. from Princeton University in 1995. Dr. Maranas specializes in biotechnology, synthetic biology, and systems engineering, focusing on the reconstruction, analysis, and redesign of metabolic networks, computational protein and enzyme design, and optimization theory.
