Visiting scholar, Dulsha Kularatna-Abeywardana, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Electrical, Computer, and Software Engineering at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. We are hosting her in the hopes of building partnerships for research and education between Penn State, University of Auckland, and our respective communities.
Dr. Kularatna-Abeywardana is a passionate advocate for women in engineering and STEM. She is a former Chair of IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) New Zealand North, current member of the IEEE Region 10 WIE Committee, and Secretary for IEEE NZ North Section. She also serves as Assistant Secretary of the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL) New Zealand chapter. She led the successful bid to host the IEEE WIE International Leadership Summit in Auckland in 2023 and continues to support initiatives promoting gender diversity and community outreach.
