Date and Time
Location
The Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center

The 2023 Shale Network Workshop continues a tradition of excellence and exciting meetings attended by hundreds of participants from academic institutions, environmental groups, government agencies, industry, and local communities.

This year’s workshop is entitled Environmental and Policy Challenges and Opportunities and will focus on fostering data-driven — and multi-stakeholder — discussion on the environmental and social impacts of unconventional energy development. Some of the topics that will be addressed by speakers include the Shell ethylene cracker plant, orphaned and abandoned wells, and the energy-water-health nexus.

The Shale Network Workshop encourages the attendance of undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, university faculty, and environmental activists, in addition to those from government, industry, and local communities.
