Virtual Sustainability Speakers Series to feature writer David Roberts April 22

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The College of the Liberal Arts' Sustainability Speaker Series will host climate writer David Roberts at noon on Earth Day, Friday, April 22, in a virtual event. Registration is required.

Roberts' publishes climate-focused articles and podcasts for Volts, a newsletter about clean energy and politics. His climate reporting has appeared in Vox, Grist, the Chicago Tribune, Reuters and the Atlantic.

The discussion will be moderated by Nora Van Horn, a triple major in philosophy, Chinese, and global and international studies at Penn State, who recently was recognized with a Stand Up Award from the Rock Ethics Institute; and Mark Sentesy, assistant professor of philosophy and classics and ancient Mediterranean studies, who serves on the Carbon Emissions Reduction Task Force and directs the Liberal Arts Sustainability Council.
