Penn State Global, Monash University announce next round of joint seed funding

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State and Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, have announced a third round of the Collaboration Program, a jointly financed seed-fund program with the aim to collaborate on research and education projects. The first two cycles of seed funding saw 34 projects funded. The two institutions have committed these seed funds for a third round, around the topic of Global Challenges or Matters of Bilateral Importance to Australia and the United States for a duration of 18 months.

Penn State and Monash University are building on the strong institutional partnership that has linked the universities since 2016 (learn more about the Penn State-Monash Partnership). As a result, the institutions are seeking proposals to foster collaborative, sustainable, self-supporting research programs and integrated educational activities between university programs.

Interested faculty members are encouraged to review the seed-fund opportunity and apply through InfoReady at Penn State-Monash InfoReady. Grant recipients will have the opportunity to help shape the direction and future investment in this initiative at the level of the institutional partnership and contribute to the universities’ vision and strategic goals.

The proposal submission deadline is April 10. For additional information, please contact Alexandra Persiko, Penn State Global, at axp1225@psu.edu or 814-867-5941.
