Pennsylvania is home to more than 17 million acres of forest, and each autumn, residents and visitors enjoy some of the most spectacular displays of changing leaves found anywhere in the world.

But experts are seeing trends that suggest the unique colors seen across our state’s foliage may not be quite as dramatic in a few decades.
