Past events

Penn State students, staff, faculty and community members have the chance to participate in activities across campus during the month of April, when Earth Month takes over the University Park campus and several Commonwealth Campuses.

The 2nd Annual Sustainability Summit, on Monday, April 1, from 3 to 8 p.m., in Heritage Hall of the HUB-Robeson Center, features keynote speaker Margaret Klein Salamon, who encourages action over reaction while addressing climate change. Other opportunities around campus, like the WPSU Multicultural Children Festival, teach participants about global culture and climate change alike. Lectures, workshops, forums and projects dedicated to encouraging conservation efforts, advocacy, engagement and sustainability are being offered across campus.

The events also help to open up the door to sustainable opportunities at Penn State, with chances to learn about how to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle and how to combat climate change, as well as several popular events like EcoAction Earth Fest or the Northeast Student Farmer Conference.

Earth Day Month opportunities will be updated and added to the Penn State Sustainability Calendar as event information becomes available.
