UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State graduate students interested in careers in industry and in gaining business, leadership and communication skills to highlight on their job search are invited to apply for the Graduate School’s Accelerate to Industry (A2i) Immersion Week, taking place May 6-10 on the University Park campus.

The application deadline for interested students is March 18. Any applications after that date will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the event is full.  Students can apply for the program here.

The intensive experiential program is designed for late-stage graduate students and postdoctoral researchers interested in pursuing non-academic careers. Sessions are highly interactive and led by industry professionals, career development experts and Penn State alumni. The weeklong program will include focusing on self-knowledge and career exploration, the job search and skills for career success, among other areas.

The program will kickoff with a professional networking reception for students and industry professionals, followed by four days of workshops and interactive sessions. Students will have the opportunity to collaborate with professionals throughout an interdisciplinary group project, networking sessions, a resume workshop, career panels, mock interviews, job offer and salary negotiations discussions, and more.
