Energy and Environmental Faculty Forum and Reception

This gathering is a chance for all Penn State faculty working on energy or environmental research to connect with colleagues, share your work, and explore new collaborations across the University. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required. The forum is open to all faculty, whether formally affiliated with IEE or not.

The event will feature five concurrent, theme-based breakout sessions. These sessions offer a chance to get to know your research community—its people, their work and interests, and where they are seeking collaboration and support. You’ll also have the opportunity to share feedback with IEE leadership on community interests and needs related to each theme.

A reception will follow, offering time to continue conversations, build connections, and explore future opportunities. Hors d’oeuvres will be served, and an open bar will be available (with drink tickets).

About IEE’s Research Themes and Theme Groups

IEE organizes Penn State’s energy and environmental research into five broad themes:

  • Climate and Natural Systems
  • Health and the Environment
  • Integrated Energy Systems
  • Equitable Communities and the Built Environment
  • Water Sustainability

To support collaboration and community-building, IEE convenes research theme groups—open, self-selected communities of researchers working in one or more of these areas.
